About Tadakatsu
Hey, I’m Tadakatsu! If you’ve found your way to my little blog, chances are you already know me from some of my usual online hangouts, but if you’re a newcomer, welcome aboard!
Opening this site was somewhat out of necessity as HubPages and their entire network decided to shut down, thus putting certain things I’d written in the past in jeopardy of being lost, but with that comes the opportunity to start something a little bit nicer and hopefully improve my writing skills over time too.
As for a bit about me, I’ve been around various Japanese music and general metal scenes online for quite a few years now. Originally I started with collecting some old Japanese metal CDs here and there, then that habit gradually grew into records and cassettes as well and subsequently turned into contributing to the Heavy Metal Rarities board and eventually morphed into helping out with sites like Japanese Metal Forum and the Metal Archives too. Needless to say, I really got hooked on this stuff as well as researching and learning about these bands and their history.
This site is just a simple spot for me to post both my reviews and articles of various size in one easy to navigate place, plus anything new I happen to write I’ll post here as well. While I have a definite emphasis on Japanese metal as a subject, that being the thing I collect primarily, I’m a fan of pretty much anything and my writing bleeds into plenty of J-rock in different genres, visual kei and other reaches of the Japanese music world.
It should go without saying, but unfortunately considering this day and age with a world of AI nonsense, I think it’s important that I assure you that the writing and opinions contained in this blog are entirely my own words, and always will be.
